About TableTurns Audio Tools
TableTurns Audio Tools is a hub of seven single-purpose tools for audio and video. Each one does a single job on a single page, and a finished result can be handed straight to the next tool without downloading and loading the file again.
The processing happens inside the browser. The tools run on a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg that is fetched once and cached, and from then on a file is read straight from disk into the tab's own memory. The file itself never crosses the network, which is the point for anyone editing a recording they would rather not hand to a server.
Where a file has a picture, the picture is left alone. Only the audio track is rebuilt, so there is no generation loss and no quality setting to get wrong. Pitch shifting is stretched back to the original tempo afterwards, so a clip keeps its length and stays in sync with its own video.
The vocal remover is a different kind of tool. It runs two neural models in the browser through ONNX Runtime, on the GPU where the machine has one and on the processor where it does not, and returns the vocal and instrumental tracks as separate files.
Files can be up to five minutes and 200MB, and up to three minutes for vocal separation. Those are limits of what a browser tab can hold in memory rather than product rules, and the tools are free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
