Soundbite Terms of Service

Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Soundbite, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The service is provided by the Soundbite team.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, whichever is higher) to use Soundbite. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
Your account
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Choose a username that does not impersonate others or infringe anyone's rights. We may reclaim usernames that are inactive, infringing, or misleading.
Your content and license
You retain ownership of the audio and other content you create. To operate the app, you grant Soundbite a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process (including applying voice effects), and display your content to the squads and users you share it with, and as needed to provide and improve the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with other users or retained as required by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Soundbite to: harass, bully, threaten, or incite violence; share content that is hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise illegal; impersonate others; record or share someone's voice or personal information without their consent; spam, scrape, or abuse the service; or attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the app.
Anonymous squads do not exempt you from these rules. We can identify the author of any clip for safety and legal purposes.
Moderation and removal
Users can report clips and mute or block other users. We may remove content, hide content that crosses a report threshold, limit posting rates, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — with or without notice. We are not obligated to monitor content but may do so.
Content disclaimer
Soundbite hosts user-generated audio. We do not endorse and are not responsible for content created by users. You may be exposed to content you find objectionable; use the report and mute tools, and contact us if something needs urgent attention.
Intellectual property
The Soundbite name, logo, and app (excluding user content) are owned by us and protected by law. These terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without permission.
Termination
You may stop using Soundbite and delete your account at any time from Profile → Privacy → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or to protect the service or other users.
Disclaimers
Soundbite is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soundbite and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
