Chronicles of Shadow Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TableTurns Labs ("we", "us") handles information in the mobile game Chronicles of Shadow (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

You can play as a Guest — no account is required.

  • Profile you provide: an optional display name. Stored only on your device.
  • Gameplay data: your character, level, XP, gold, energy, and story progress. Stored only on your device (local storage). We do not upload it to our servers.
  • Story prompts: the choices and character details needed to generate your story are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) through our secure server to produce the next scene. They are used to generate the response and are subject to OpenAI's policies. We do not use them to identify you.
  • Advertising data: we show ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the Advertising ID), approximate location derived from IP, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. See Google's policy below.
  • Sign-in (optional): if you choose Google Sign-In, we receive your basic profile (name, email) to label your profile. We do not post anything.

We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone/camera data.

How we use information

  • To run the game and save your progress on your device.
  • To generate AI story content.
  • To display and measure advertising (our only source of revenue).
  • To keep the app working and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that make the app work:

Your choices & rights

  • Delete your data: Settings → Reset All Data erases all local progress.
  • Ad personalization: you can reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
  • Requests: contact us at tableturnslabs@gmail.com for any privacy request.

Children

The App is intended for a general audience (rated for Teen). It is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it. (Ads are requested as non-personalized; configure your AdMob app's content rating accordingly.)

Data retention & security

Gameplay data lives on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Requests to our AI provider are transmitted over HTTPS; our server stores no conversation logs.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
